This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"5\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,4,5,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">5<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">The fool foldeth his hands together, and eateth his own flesh.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"6\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,4,6,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">6<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"7\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,4,7,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">7<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Then I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"8\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,4,8,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">8<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">There is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither saith he, For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"9\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,4,9,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">9<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"10\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,4,10,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">10<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"11\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,4,11,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">11<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"12\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,4,12,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">12<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"13\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,4,13,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">13<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"14\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,4,14,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">14<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"15\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,4,15,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">15<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">I considered all the living which walk under the sun, with the second child that shall stand up in his stead.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"verse-para\"><sup class=\"vnum\" data-v=\"16\" onclick=\"loadParallel(1,21,4,16,&quot;Ecclesiastes&quot;)\">16<\/sup><span class=\"vtext\">There is no end of all the people, even of all that have been before them: they also that come after shall not rejoice in him.
